The Story

Sixty Years of Fleet Street Craft

"We don't just cut hair — we direct a scene. Every client leaves the chair ready for their close-up."

Founded in 1962 by master barber Aldous Parikh, ParikhMax has held its ground at No. 14 Fleet Street through six decades of London's fastest-changing street. Straight razors, hot towels and unhurried conversation — the craft hasn't changed, even if the skyline has.

Frequently Asked

Everything first-time clients ask us at the door — answered before you even walk in.

We take walk-ins whenever a chair is free, but Fleet Street gets busy — especially over lunch and after 5pm. Booking online guarantees your chair and your preferred barber, so we always recommend reserving ahead for popular slots.

Free cancellation or rescheduling up to 4 hours before your appointment — just reply to your confirmation email or call the shop. Late cancellations and no-shows may be asked for a small deposit on future bookings.

Absolutely. Leave a note with your preferred barber's name in the booking form and we'll do our best to match you. Once you've found your regular, most clients simply mention the name over the phone for future visits.

Street parking on Fleet Street is metered and limited. We're two minutes' walk from Temple station and five from Blackfriars, so most clients arrive by tube. The nearest public car park is on New Bridge Street, a short walk away.

Yes — we welcome children aged 6 and up alongside our regular chairs. Book the Classic Cut and mention their age in the notes so we can pair them with a barber who's great with first-timers.

All major cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash. Contactless is fastest and preferred, but every method is welcome — settle up at the chair once your barber's finished.
